Kathy Mills

Kathy Mills is the creative force behind kamil.graphics. The name 'kamil,' a blend of her own name (Ka-thy Mil-ls), also thoughtfully echoes the Arabic word for 'perfect' or 'complete,' reflecting her dedication to providing holistic and impactful design solutions. As a graphic and web designer, she is dedicated to partnering with nonprofits devoted to social justice.

Her work focuses on translating complex, often emotional or data-heavy issues into clear, compelling visuals that inspire action and reflect organizational missions. Projects she has consulted on include dashboards for CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy; a web app for formerly incarcerated people returning to the workforce; a suite of mobile resources for LGBTIQ Iranian refugees; training and advocacy materials advancing the rights of home health care workers; and a website offering innovative strategies for immigration lawyers.

Her past employers include Human Rights Watch and Thomson Reuters. She was a Design Fellow with Blue Ridge Labs @ Robin Hood Foundation, and holds an MFA from Bard College.

My Approach

I believe in design that not only looks good but also serves a greater purpose. My process involves deep listening, empathetic understanding, and a commitment to creating visuals that are both beautiful and effective in achieving your organization's goals.
